Well, I suppose I had better write on my blog. I'm not planning on going to sleep tonight. I have a showing tomorrow at 10 am and there is still quite a bit to do. Mop the kitchen, put dishes away, finish laundry and put it all away, scrub the downstairs bathroom (blech), clean the oven top, and sweep the basement. I've been cleaning all day. This is our first showing in over a month, so the house was not in good shape. But it seems like I have put a lot of extra elbow grease to make this house look its best. I went to Target last night after all the kids were in bed and I bought some throw pillows and some fresh flowers for the kitchen table. I must admit, it's going to look pretty good. I try to not get my hopes up because usually when things don't turn out the way I want, I sometimes crumble and get extremely pessimistic about the whole situation. So, I hope that things go really well tomorrow and that they fall in love with the house. If not, then...well.....I''ll just keep praying for more direction and keep the faith. :)
I've been reading this fiction series called Millennial Glory. It's written by a member of the church and it's all about the second coming. It's not very well written but the topic is very intriguing for me. What's neat about is that this large, righteous, family that lives in Utah, are experiencing the actual last days. Satan is appearing, and appointing anti-Christs, monumental earthquakes and natural disasters. Yes, some of it is scary and worrisome, but this family really puts everything in perspective by using lessons they have learned from being members of the church and scouts. The amount of faith is incredible. One of their sons is in a coma and while he is in this coma, he is in heaven learning things that he needs to know when he returns to the earth to prepare others for the second coming. Since I have been reading this, I've been constantly thinking about the celestial kingdom and all it's glory. It's kinda hard to explain, but I feel more actively motivated to become like Christ and return to my Heavenly Father. I know that's a lot of people's goals, before it had been in the back of my mind. But now, it's taking over my brain :)
I feel His presence more often, and I look to the scriptures more. I'm more thankful than ever to be a member of the church and to have that knowledge and promise that my family is eternal. I was saying an extremely heartfelt prayer today and usually when I say 'amen' I get up and go about my business. But today, I was glued to my chair and felt the Holy Ghost tell me to just sit for a while. So I did. I sat there and after a while it felt like my hands were being squeezed. I had them together on my lap. Immediately, I pictured Christ on his knees in front of me holding my hands telling me I'm doing just fine and everything will work out. My heart started pounding like right before I go and bear my testimony during fast Sundays. He is here. He is right here. He has been here all along. And He always will be.

Blahhh
I took this picture a few years ago. But it perfectly describes how I feel today. Blah. House still for sale and no showings. The house is a complete disaster too. I'm exhausted. (yes josh is home, but not enough relief). I'm trying to keep my head above the clouds, but this situation sucks. i want my mommy!

Tooooooomorrow!
Josh comes home tomorrow!!! I'm a little excited. :)We have been apart for longer but it is so different now that we have four kids. Some days went exrtremely slow and other flew by. I'm a little sentimental right now. Josh and I will be celebrating our 8th Anniversary in August. My, how time flies. I can honestly say that each year keeps getting better and better. I'm excited to watch our family grow. Josh is an excellent father and husband. He is my best friend, my better half. He encourages me to be the best that I can be. So the countdown continues...1 day, 7 hours, 4 minutes and counting...

Culver's and Mushrooms...
I love Culvers and I hate mushrooms. But today, the roles were somewhat switched. I was feeling lazy and we needed to get out of the house so I decided to take the kids to Culvers for lunch (drive through, of course!) (i'm not that crazy!). So, I ordered a chicken sandwich and kids meals and headed home. I got the kids situated with their lunches and then I sat down to eat mine. I took it out of the bag and I was like, man, this is a rather small sandwich. So I opened it up, did a double take, and I said out loud, "What the?" They forgot the top half of the bun. I was a little ticked at first, but luckily Caleb didn't eat the butt of the loaf of bread so I just used that. I thought it was funny and took a picture. It was just as tasty!
Now, mushrooms. I can't stand the taste or the smell and they don't look that appealing either. Blech! But I saw this mushroom growing by our tree stump and thought, that is one pretty mushroom. You can't tell from this picture, but it was like a lily with a long stem...(i can just hear the crickets...not that interesting, i know).
So that was my semi-uneventful day. Although my brother Jim mowed for me today. It looks fabulous! Thanks Jimmy!
