It's about time...

Well, it has again, been too long since i posted. i haven't been very religious about it. Things are busy as usual and it's just not at the top of my list. :) But, I'm here checking other blogs that i follow and decided to update. Josh is in cedar rapids tonight, staying at his parents because he has army this weekend and would rather drive 30 minutes compared to 120 minutes if he were to drive from home. i don't blame him. i dread the weekends that he is away. today went alright. we went to a friend's house this morning to play and have lunch which was the highlight of my day. i always have big plans to get the house clean and in order, but of course that never happens. oh to have a maid. i always say to myself, "once the kids are in bed, I'm going to get to work and clean, clean, clean." but when that moment comes and all is quiet i just want to knock myself out and sleeeeeeeep. i also dread going to church. it's already a headache to go to church even when josh is home. we are always late, the kids don't behave, and i always end up in tears before sacrament meeting is over. it's embarrassing.
in lighter news, we are doing well in Waterloo. Caleb loves his school and is doing really well. Eli is now potty trained! yeah! it's fun to keep up with his active imagination! Abby is her little girly self. she loves carrying around her little piggy (it's like a beanie baby) like it's a baby and talking to it and setting it on her lap and putting it to bed. she loves purses and shoes! Lizzy is all over the place, she follows me wherever i go. she is very cuddly and whenever i pick her up she rests her head on my shoulder with her arms hugging me. it melts me every time. she is pulling herself up to standing and walks around furniture and has yet to take that daring step by herself. josh 'likes' teaching at west but is not in love with it. he told me the other night, "i think i want to change professions." i said, "don't you dare!" we have a nice house in a good neighborhood, now is not the time to change things. argh. after all the kids are in school and my education is complete, then  maybe. but who knows. me....well.....not much is new. i joined the book club here and it is nice to get out every once in a while. the ladies in the ward are so nice. i really like it here. if only i could get my rear in gear and get my house in order I'd feel a lot better. it's almost like i need to send my children away for a few days to get caught up. well, it's time for me to go to bed. cross your fingers that we make it to church tomorrow. ha!
